Litigation Paralegal - Trust & Estate Practice
Location: Downtown San Diego, CA
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary:
- Junior Paralegal: $70,000-$80,000
- Senior Paralegal: $85,000-$95,000
About the Role
Our growing Trust & Estate litigation practice is seeking two highly skilled paralegals to join our team-one junior (approx. 3 years' experience) and one senior (approx. 7 years' experience). This is a heavily litigation-focused role requiring exceptional writing, research, and organizational skills. We do not handle estate planning; our work is strictly litigation within the Trust & Estate space.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare litigation documents, including subpoenas, motions, and discovery requests.
- Conduct legal research and assist with case strategy.
- Manage e-filing in state and federal courts.
- Organize case files and maintain accurate documentation.
- Support attorneys through all phases of litigation.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
Requirements
- Experience:
- Junior: 3+ years litigation experience
- Senior: 7+ years litigation experience (Trust & Estate preferred)
- Strong writing and research skills.
- Proficiency in e-filing systems.
- Ability to work independently and hit the ground running (especially for senior role).
- Professional appearance (no visible tattoos or piercings).
- Must be reliable and demonstrate commitment during the first 90 days (minimal absences required).
- Comfortable working in-office initially; hybrid option may be considered for strong performers.
